FGCU is holding free informational workshops on teacher certification in Florida, as well as the Teacher Immersion Program (TIP), and you are cordially invited to attend:

Directions to Academic Bldg. 3:  Enter the campus at the main gate (10501 FGCU Blvd. S, Fort Myers, FL  33965) and take a left at the stop sign and an immediate right into the first parking lot.  Park and walk east past Academic Bldg. 5.   The next building is Academic 3.  We hope to see you there!

If you need a math tune-up, please join us on upcoming Fridays for free math workshops.  The next workshop series will be in January and February, 2010, 4:30-6:30, on the following dates:  January 29, February 5, February 19, and February 26.  The location is Ben Hill Griffin Hall, Room 109.  Check here frequently for updates and additional information.  These workshops are specifically geared toward those who need to pass the Florida Teacher Certification Exam (FTCE) called the General Knowledge Test, the Elementary Ed. The Teacher Immersion Program (TIP), a state-approved program, is magical:  It accepts those who only dream of becoming teachers and miraculously turns them into well-qualified, competent teachers.  Upon completion of TIP, you are eligible for the Florida Professional Educator’s Certificate.  Tuition is grant-funded for qualified applicants.  It includes six instructional modules, three graduate courses, an internship, and numerous specialized workshops to fully prepare you for the classroom.  You can complete the program in one year, if you begin in the summer.  TIP fulfills your career dreams.  Just click on the Application link top right and you are on your way!
