I wouldn’t consider entering the education profession without this preparation! The help TIP provides with paperwork, testing, and other documentation is also invaluable.

As a career changer I was told about the Teacher Immersion Program by an enthusiastic participant. It was said that TIP was a comprehensive program that would help me gain the educator courses than a non-education major would have missed. It has done that and much more. It has given exposure to great professors with up-to-date knowledge plus decades of K-12 classroom experience. It has been an opportunity to work with and learn from a super group of classmates each bringing their own experience to add to a rich mix. It has also provided an opportunity to internalize the learning and burnish skills through field experience doing projects and as a teaching intern. All of this has been work but stimulating and rewording work where the payback has been multiples of the effort invested.
I recognize that I am still a rookie and am hungry to continue to learn and grow to become the best teacher I can be. I become more excited every day about having changed careers to become a teacher and be a catalyst that triggers a love of learning in students. In the event you are energized about becoming a teacher making this kind of impact on young lives and are ready to work hard you couldn’t take a better path to that future than to apply to TIP.
